Timeline

The City of Priest River is updating its 2013 Comprehensive Plan to ensure the City’s long-term vision reflects current realities and future opportunities. Over the past decade, the community has seen changes in housing demand, infrastructure needs, and growth patterns that call for a renewed, data-driven plan. The update will guide how land use, public services, and community priorities shape Priest River over the next 20 years while preserving the city’s small-town character and natural setting.

Required by Idaho’s Local Land Use Planning Act, the Comprehensive Plan serves as the foundation for zoning, development, and infrastructure decisions. This update process will include public engagement, updated maps and data, and a framework for future land use regulations. Community participation will be an essential element to ensure the plan reflects shared values and a collective vision for Priest River’s future.
