City Park Playground Improvement Project

Future City Park Playground Equipment

Imagine giving a new meaning to “spending the day at the park”. Today, we proudly present you with the future renovation of our City Park playground, where countless hours went into the design and carefully selecting the most exciting features and components.

The City of Priest River has a lot to offer. It is an attractive destination with such beautiful surroundings. As you know, playgrounds are an excellent space to develop social skills, exercise, be creative, boost physical/emotional development and most of all, have fun! With this renovation, we will be able to give our youngest citizens a 95’ x 95’ fenced area, full of new structures and hours of fun. The design features components that can include children of all ages. The playground will be ADA accessible, inclusive, and up to date. Future amenities may also include a gazebo and seating area next to the playground, to give a more convenient sheltered area for parties.

Upgrading the playground comes with expenses. The project is estimated to cost up to $300,000, but with generous partners and sponsors we can make this happen for our kids. We will be applying for grants as well, but most grants require seeing what the city and the community have raised towards the playground before we can apply. The City of Priest River has committed 10% of the project cost, up to $30,000, in their 2025 budget towards the playground. We ask for your consideration to donate or share the project with friends and family, because we are confident all of our children will have a safe and fun place to play and make new friends.
