LARCH STREET SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

BONNER COUNTY, IDAHO
Separate sealed Bids for the LARCH STREET SEWER IMPROVEMENTS will be received by the CITY OF PRIEST RIVER located at 552 High Street, Priest River, Idaho 83856, until 2:00 p.m. (Local Time), on April 25, 2024 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. All interested individuals are welcome to attend.
The project includes the following work:
Base Bid: Replacement of approximately 510 LF of 10-inch concrete pipe with 8-inch PVC sewer main. Removal of the existing sewer main and modification of the existing manholes will be required for the installation of the sewer main. Sewer bypass will be required to maintain individual sewer services past a maximum shutdown time. Limited width of public right-of-way and depth will require trench safety equipment.
Add Alternative No.1: Installation of approximately 410 LF of 8-inch PVC sewer main, manholes, and connection to existing sewer services and manholes. Sewer bypass will be required to maintain individual sewer services past a maximum shutdown. Limited width of public right-of-way and depth will require trench safety equipment.

Hard copies of bidding documents can be ordered at www.welchcomerplanroom.com at the bidder’s expense. In order to be added to the official plan holders list and ensure notification of addenda, bidders must register at www.welchcomerplanroom.com. For further assistance, please call (208) 664-9382. Contract questions shall be directed only to the office of the Project Engineer.
A Bid shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope plainly marked with the Project title, name and address of Bidder, and shall be accompanied by the Bid security and other required documents. If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope plainly marked on the outside with the notation “BID ENCLOSED”. Bids delivered by facsimile machine will not be accepted.
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10:00 am at Priest River City Hall, 552 High Street., Priest River, Idaho, 83856. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.
A Public Works Contractor License for the State of Idaho is required to be AWARDED this work. All bids shall contain one of the following forms of Bidder's security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid and all add alternates, made payable to OWNER: a) Bidder's Bond executed by a surety company qualified to conduct business in the State of Idaho, b) Certified Check, c) Cashier's Check, or d) Cash.
OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The City of Priest River City Council, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all firms that no person or organization shall be discriminated against based on race, religion, color, age, sex, or national origin, in consideration for an award pursuant to this advertisement. To the extent, Bidder intends to subcontract any of the work subject to this advertisement, the Bidder must include this notice in any agreements with subcontractors. Additionally, minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit responses to this invitation.
